What we collect
Oxford Matchmaker collects the information you provide to take part in the service and arrange introductions.

How we use your information
We use your information to operate Oxford Matchmaker, generate introductions, coordinate potential meetings, and respond to support or safety issues.

Optional referral points
We retain a confirmed referral relationship, the program policy you accept, eligibility evidence and an audit of recognition-point awards and corrections. Referral codes do not reveal your identity.
When you follow a referral link or scan its QR code and complete signup, we record the referral automatically after you verify your email. The referrer sees confirmed referral counts and points. In a small group, these totals may reveal that a known referral completed setup; names, profiles, matching activity, raw unverified signup counts and per-person payment details are not shown.
Referral participation is optional and separate from marketing permission. Rewards records are limited to stable account identifiers and program events; privacy requests are reviewed to remove unnecessary personal data while retaining the minimum evidence needed to honor or correct rewards.
Member-suggested introductions
A signed-in member may submit two people's first names and email addresses as a match suggestion. We keep those details for up to 60 days: the pair can receive a small compatibility-score bonus if both join and complete the matching intake within 30 days. We do not email or message them.
We use suggestion details only to recognise the pair in a matching run. The bonus does not bypass hard compatibility or safety filters. The suggestion expires after 30 days and is deleted by the retention process within 30 further days. You may object or ask us to delete a suggestion by contacting us through the service email channel.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share information inside the service only when it is needed for the introduction process.
If interest is mutual, your match may see the availability and contact details you choose to share.
Retention and your rights
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, review prior matches, handle support requests, and meet legal obligations.
You can ask to update or delete your information, and you can opt out of future introductions through the site.
